Presentation
Adult patient, half-cusp Class II on both sides, 6 mm overjet, mild upper crowding. Third molars already removed. Patient refused extractions and fixed appliances.
Planning approach
- Upper second molars distalised first, then first molars, premolars and the anterior segment in sequence.
- Class II elastics from stage 1 using precision cuts on the upper canines and buttons on the lower first molars.
- Lower arch used for anchorage with minimal movement; lower incisor proclination limited to 2°.
Setup outcome
Class I canine and molar relationship in the setup, overjet reduced to 2.5 mm. Two refinements expected.
