Presentation

Adult patient, half-cusp Class II on both sides, 6 mm overjet, mild upper crowding. Third molars already removed. Patient refused extractions and fixed appliances.

Planning approach

Upper second molars distalised first, then first molars, premolars and the anterior segment in sequence.
Class II elastics from stage 1 using precision cuts on the upper canines and buttons on the lower first molars.
Lower arch used for anchorage with minimal movement; lower incisor proclination limited to 2°.

Setup outcome

Class I canine and molar relationship in the setup, overjet reduced to 2.5 mm. Two refinements expected.
