Presentation

Adult patient, Class I molars, 5 mm of lower anterior crowding with a rotated lower canine. Upper arch well aligned with mild spacing. Patient asked for no extractions and a short treatment.

Planning approach

  1. Lower arch: 2.4 mm of staged IPR from canine to canine, 1.5 mm of transverse expansion in the premolar region.
  2. Rotated canine derotated early with an optimised attachment and overcorrection built into the setup.
  3. Upper arch: light alignment only, spaces consolidated to keep the overjet stable.

Setup outcome

Alignment achieved in the setup without changing the molar relationship. Refinement planned for final incisor torque.
